Research interests: wind engineering, hazard mitigation, vehicle dynamics and traffic safety, health monitoring, structural control, flood hazard, spatial GIS application

Teaching experience: engineering mechanics: statics and dynamics.

Recent research activity: development of bridge-vehicle interaction approach and vehicle accident risk assessment model under natural conditions including wind, snow, ice-covered road conditions and operational conditions, control of excessive vibrations of structures under wind, dynamic live loading evaluation for long-span bridges, GIS-based multiple hazard mitigation.

Research collaboration: faculty from Louisiana State University and Colorado State University
