Environmental Wind Tunnel (EWT)  

This is an open-circuit wind tunnel of a test section 12 ft (3.66 m) wide by 60 ft (18.29 m) long, with a flexible ceiling which can be adjusted from 7 ft (2.13 m) to 9 ft (2.74 m). The flow velocity can be adjusted in the range from 0 through 40 fps.  Other characteristics of the EWT are listed in Summary Table.  To examine the elevation and plan views of EWT please click a thumbnail below.

The EWT is well suited for model studies of flow over cities, tall structures, and topographic features, as well as environmental studies of dispersion of pollutants.
