Study of vortex flow and wind loading on building roofs

An example of visualization of vortical structure of flow above a flat roof of a low-rise building and several realizations of roof pressure distribution is shown below.

Instrumentation at WEFL allows for simultaneous acquisition of flow visualization images, surface pressure and shear stress, as well as flow measurement.
